Privacy Policy

1. Our Commitment to Privacy
DevToolBox ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website at devcheat.com.
Core Principle: All tools on DevToolBox run entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. The data you enter โ JSON, text, URLs, passwords, or any other content โ never leaves your device. We do not collect, store, process, or transmit your input data to any server.
2. Information We Collect
Because DevToolBox is a purely client-side application, we do not collect any personal data through our tools. Specifically:
- No account registration โ We do not require or offer user accounts.
- No input data collection โ All tool processing happens locally in your browser. No JSON payloads, base64 strings, passwords, or any other data you enter is sent to our servers or any third party.
- No cookies for tracking โ We do not set any cookies for advertising, analytics, or tracking purposes.
- No server-side logging โ We do not maintain server logs that could identify individual visitors.
3. Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or collect personal data. It collects only anonymized, aggregate data such as:
- Page views and referrer information
- Browser type and device category
- Approximate geographic region (country level only)
Cloudflare Web Analytics loads a lightweight beacon (beacon.min.js) from static.cloudflareinsights.com to measure page views. This beacon does not set cookies and does not identify individual users. You can learn more about Cloudflare's privacy practices at Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
4. Third-Party Services
DevToolBox uses the following third-party services, all of which are limited to static resource delivery and optional external links:
4.1 Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)
We load JavaScript libraries from jsDelivr CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net) โ specifically js-yaml and qrcode.js. These are open-source libraries loaded solely for tool functionality. jsDelivr may collect standard CDN logs (request IP, user agent, requested file) for caching and delivery optimization. These logs are anonymized and not used for tracking. See jsDelivr Privacy Policy.
4.2 PayPal.Me
We provide an optional PayPal.Me tipping link for users who wish to support development. Clicking this link takes you to PayPal's website, which is governed by PayPal's Privacy Policy. No payment information is collected or processed by DevToolBox.
4.3 Affiliate Links
Our footer includes affiliate referral links to DigitalOcean, Vultr, and Namecheap. These are standard referral links. Each service's data handling is governed by their respective privacy policies. We may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
5. Data Security
Since all tool processing occurs locally in your browser, there are no data transmission risks for your input data. The website is served over HTTPS via Cloudflare, ensuring that the static pages and assets you download are delivered securely. For maximum security:
- You can use DevToolBox while offline after the initial page load.
- No data you enter is cached on our servers.
- Your data disappears when you close or refresh the page (unless your browser caches form input locally).
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws), you may have the following rights:
- Right to know what data is collected โ As explained above, we collect no personal data through our tools.
- Right to access โ Since we store no personal data, there is nothing to access.
- Right to deletion โ No personal data is stored, so no deletion is necessary.
- Right to opt out โ You may disable JavaScript or use a browser extension to block the Cloudflare Analytics beacon; the tools will still function.
7. Children's Privacy
DevToolBox is a developer tools website intended for general audience use. It does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
9. Disclaimer
DevToolBox is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While we take reasonable measures to ensure the security and accuracy of our tools, we make no guarantees regarding their suitability for any particular purpose. The tools are provided for convenience and reference โ users should verify critical outputs independently. In no event shall DevToolBox be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or its tools.
